Lutheran Youth of Queensland Our annual Work and Fellowship Camp at Luther Heights Youth Camp is just over four weeks away (26-28 July 2019) and we need your help to keep our Luther Heights campsite looking as beautiful as ever.
If you've never attended a Work and Fellowship Camp before then you're in for a treat. Work and Fellowship camp is a wonderful way to build your church community, grow your faith and make some life long connections. This day of service is a perfect opportunity to develop or experience intergenerational ministry; model acts of Christian service and connect with others along their faith journey.
We invite people with all sort of skill sets and interests to come and engage this is wonderful day of service. We encourage all ages, families, singles, young children, everybody. The food is provided, the work gets done and the outcome are the smiles we all experience.
Experience tells us, if you make time for this weekend, you’ll be so glad that you did.
This year we're predominantly focusing on maintenance, which will include jobs such as:
- gardening
- painting
- building
- concreting
- cabinet making
- landscaping
- demolition
- furniture restoration
- pressure cleaning
... we even have jobs (and games and fun activities) lined up for the children!
We need all sorts of skilled and non-skilled people! Tradies, farmers, men, women and children- all are welcome! In fact, our team will ensure that we find a job that is just perfect for your skills and experience!

Work & Fellowship Camp - Overview
Arrive anytime from 4pm Friday afternoon. A light supper is provided Friday night (you will need to source your own dinner). Wake up and enjoy a big brekky so you're fueled and ready for a full day of work. After completing some amazing projects with the team you'll put your feet up Saturday night and enjoy a dinner fit for a king. You might decide to continue on into the night, playing games, laughing and telling stories.
Sunday starts with breakfast to fill up your stomachs for a day at the coast. Then you're welcome to join us for a simple worship service before enjoying the rest of your day as you wish!
